Where’s the Duracell batteries dad? January 11, 2010

I’ve decided to leave myself reminders – almost a new years resolution – because I narrowly avoided a crisis on Christmas. From the title of this post, you can probably guess what I’m talking about – I forgot to buy Duracell batteries to go with the kid’s gadgets on Christmas day. I was lucky, however, because granny came to the rescue (as she often does) with a supply of batteries form her kitchen drawer.
I’m lucky that she’s a hoarder and not much for technology, so that famous kitchen drawer gets filled with all manner of useful (and some useless things), including all types of batteries thank goodness. So, I’m either going to resolve to buy batteries at Christmas even if it’s just for emergencies or I’m going to designate a drawer and begin to fill it with stuff.
